Wednesday September 21
Meet: at Bear Creek Aspen Trailhead area ~ 5pm (see Directions)
Required to Ride: 96Db or less and a Spark Arrestor
Ride out: ~5:00pm (6pm for better riders)
Ride finish: Loops are ~40mins so you can drop out/relax/rejoin as you like. Most will start heading home around 8pm
Ride Level: Short guided (me) Novice loops out of the pit on the new trail system and, for the more adventurous, on the older sections. Better riders welcome as well and can either hang/ride slower or do their own thing and meet up in the pits with the others.
The extra Bonus: The DirtbikeGalz are sponsoring the after ride chow for the OTRA Over the Hump Wednesday ride. Nothing fancy this time girls, just Hot Doggies! Bring your own bevs.
RSVP by: Sept 20, especially if you're a newer rider and would like to do a loop at 5pm.
Saturday October 8
Meet: at Bear Creek Aspen Trailhead (~ 1km past old 8km Lower Pits): ~11am
Ride out: ~11:30am (we'll be doing one long loop so must be on time)
Required to Ride: 96Db or less and a Spark Arrestor
Ride finish:depends on how well everyone does. I’d plan for 2.5 - 3 hrs and not book yourself in for anything right after the ride, just in case we’re longer. There’s generally lots of stop/starts/pics on this ride. Goal is FUN and comradeship, not speed.
Ride Level:
A little higher level than our normal "Classic Novice Recreational Ladies Ride”. Good for riders who can comfortably do the basics and move along at a decent pace (not necessarily real fast, just steady). The terrain is a flowy mix of ATV wide trails to some classic single. There’s a couple of tricky spots but nothing that a novice rider can’t do without a little assistance from stronger riders.
Make sure your gas is FULL FULL. This is a good camera ride too.
RSVP by Oct 1, 8pm as ride may be changed / cancelled, depending on interest.
If you can't make it to one of these rides but would like to get out (or ride something tougher) just let me know and I'll pass on the info or invite you when we do other rides.
the small print:
Please note that all rides are "unprofessionally guided" and the purpose of the ride is to give the opportunity for Galz to get out and ride with and meet other Galz. Ride at your own risk! (although we'll do our best to make sure you get home in one piece
). Please make sure your bike is trail ready.
